Kamehameha Schools gives ex-teacher case to police.
HPD is investigating a former Kamehameha School Teacher. An attorney says allegations against the teacher may be of a sexual nature.
Kamehameha Schools spokeswoman Marsha Bolson said Wednesday the matter was turned over to HPD the week before but would not disclose the allegations.
Honolulu Attorney Michael Green said he represents a student and his parents who will be filing a criminal complaint with HPD Monday, but Green did not say what the alleged charges are.
He said Kamehameha Schools interviewed a number of students for 5 hours with their parents present.
From the connotation of the questions the school has indicated to the children that it had to do with inappropriate sexual conduct on the part of the teacher,Green said.
He said the school questioned the students about improper touching, videos, photographs.
Green said Kamehameha SChools went into the teacher's home and removed items.
He said he has reason to believe these items were turned over to HPD and that the items might corroborate an invasion of privacy, might include video and might show someone in the shower.
The unnamed teacher has declined comment.
Marsha Bolson sais the teacher is no longer employed at Kamehmeha Schools but declined to say whether he was fired or voluntarily left. She said "Any people that believe were involved we have had conversations with.We have notified folks."
Honolulu Police spokeswoman Michelle YU sais police are investigating the matter, but the teacher as od 3/15/13 has not been arrested or charged.
More accusations as children from broken homes were targeted.
Michael Green attorney says evidence was tampered with and Kamehameha Schools gave certain things to HPD.
